So in my quest to lose the baby weight I have have been trying lower carb meals. I do this mainly so I remain fuller longer and resist the urge to snack in the pantry. A really awesome site and book, Metabolic Effect, has some great information on eating right and exercise. I decided to give one of their recipes a try and I have to say that although they didn't look pretty, I was so full I could barely finish a serving.
The recipe is Apple Cinnamon pancakes and its so easy to make, which I love. Here it is:
2 egg whites
1 Jar unsweetened applesauce
1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1-2 tbsp of Stevia
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Literally dump everything in a bowl mix together and cook on the skillet till desired texture. I put extra truvia on top to make it a little more sweet.
