Weekend Shenanigans

Ok so I love beer, it is an obsession I just cannot part with. I look forward to beer and wine on the weekends. Pretty much a habit I have had for a long time. (minus the two times I was pregnant obvi) I went to Costco on Friday and grabbed these two gems.  Firestone Double Jack is amazing. It is full bodied, creamy and excellent. www.firestonebeer.com. The second is the Old Guardian from Stone Brewery. I normally love Stone, but this one was a little too bitter for my liking, or as my husband says, too hoppy. I took a couple sips then let him have at it. www.stonebrew.com
As a side note my husband brews his own beer for fun and I have learned a good amount about beer in general. I always go to the small, craft type of beers. Bud and Coors, etc are not my thing, they just fall flat in taste compared to a really good craft beer.

To support my beer and wine habit I have continued to do the Physique 57 April DVD Challenge. After the challenge last month I was down an inch on my waist and down an inch on my hips. For the record I try to eat well during the week and sort of don't pay attention during the weekends. I do this 6 days a week and I am SO much stronger! Not to mention my posture is getting better, which is important to me considering after two almost back to back pregnancies and then that little ordeal I had with a staph infection from my epidural and back surgery, I need a strong core.

And finally I chopped my hair! I never did my hair when it was long so figured cut it shorter for the summer! We also had our family photos and I choose a blue and yellow theme for spring. I cannot wait to see them! My husband is a sport he doesn't like family pictures much, but I am obsessed so he just goes along with it.  I will say he does like the outcome.

How were your weekends?

  1. I love that photo of you! Your hair looks great! And I haven't tried either of those beers but I live a good, hoppy beer so I may love that Stone Brewery one!
