Weekend Happenings. Moving Toddler to Big Girl Bed

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! It has once again been a very hectic week/weekend. But I am not complaining. I have been getting more hours from my previous job so have been busy with that, Junior League, and Claire's new school and have had less time to blog.

Claire did excellent her first week in school, so I put her on the wait list for full time 2 days a week. Claire also got her very first haircut last week. Only took her 2.5 years!

We went crazy and got her bangs!

It has really been the week all about Claire. She has been adjusting to her new schedule pretty well however she needs a nap right after school or the tantrums come out. I learned that the hard way when we went to get her some new shoes.

Nik and I turned Claire's crib into a bed this past weekend with the conversion kit. I highly recommend purchasing a crib that turns into a bed, it will save you some cash in the long run.

The only problem with the bed was that we thought it turned into a twin (logical really) and well nope the bed is a full. So we had a fiasco with exchanging the mattresses we had already purchased in the twin size and then I had to exchange twin bedding at Target. In the end it all worked out. The brand we used for our crib is Munire Savannah Collection.

Since Claire's room is bright pink and there is a toile pattern on the curtains and chair I needed a bedding set that was simple and girly. As a side note we are going to paint her room a lighter pink next month (because I am just tired of the brightness). I went with the Shabby Chic bedding collection at Target and I could not have been happier.

Claire was skeptical at first but after her bath I had the bed all ready to go and she was so excited! We have guard rails to keep her from falling which is nice.  If you like the Shabby Chic Collection you can get the same ones by following these links:
