New Computer...Funny Finds..Coupon Roundup

So over the past weekend I received my parents awesome desktop computer that they never use and it's amazing. But while I was looking through the pictures I started laughing hysterically at the above shots. What a bunch of goons. We were on a hike in Carmel and Nik and I were in town from Chicago for a friends wedding. I just think its hilarious because we pretty much rolled out of bed and went walking and my dad looks super annoyed. This is a framer! I am also now thinking of cutting my hair short again, not as short as these photos, but def shorter.

With all that said Zobha another fabulous workout apparel store is having $15 bucks off their pants. With the new pant shortage at Lululemon this is a good thing...Zobha Deal You can go hiking in something cuter than what we all wore.

Eccelctic Wall Decor Inspiration

I really can't believe it is Wednesday, where is this week going?! We got a new computer (finally) over the weekend so I have been slow to update it with all my programs hence the late week blog post. We also did get the gardening done in the backyard and I will have pictures soon, it looks awesome! But it got me thinking of redoing our media room which has been on my mind for months now.

Currently the room is a deep red color and a very casual type of room it is where we mainly hang out to watch tv and relax, plus there are tons of kids toys all over. Picture below

Friday Ramblings

c/o Marcus Design
oh goodness did this week fly by, so much so I have been lacking in my postings! I am proud to say my tennis skills are improving tremendously and I am so happy! I think a Tennis league is in my near future!

In any regard we are working diligently on our backyard landscape this weekend. You can get a sense of the perimeter by Claire standing on our porch. This fine perimeter will be lined by boxwoods from the top picture and then a path to a nice fountain/birdbath and some roses. working on that color for the backyard. We also plan to plant nice flower beds around the trees and get some up-lighting for night time. I cannot wait until its all complete. Should be a nice amount of labor work for us, but I am excited. So yes this is late but has been a busy yet productive week. Perhaps if I have time I will hit the Ulta that opened up near us. oh la la.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Family Photo Ready Spring Style

 1. Old Navy Fedora for Baby 2. Circle Eyelet Tank 3. Scalloped Trim Eyelet Skirt 4. T Strap Daisy Sandal
5. Twill Bucket Hat 6. Neon Gingham Bodysuit 7. Twill Trousers 8. Canvas Slip on Sneaker

We have our annual family pictures coming up in April and while it drives my husband bonkers that I insist we take pictures, I love it. I mainly love it because I can fill our hallway with different family portraits and see how the kids grow. With that said my most favorite part is finding outfits for Claire. I don't normally dress her up all fancy every day, mainly because I have to tackle her to get dressed in the morning and she just discovered how to take her clothes off. That's another issue. Anyways I love Gap kids and I only buy their clothing on special occasions. Family portraits are one of those occasions.

Tennis Time

 1. Lululemon Run Swiftly Tee   2. Lululemon Pace Skirt  3. Nike Tennis Dress  4. Lululemon Pace Setter Skirt  5. Lululemon Work it Out Track Pant

I hope you all had a great weekend! I have been obsessed with everything Tennis lately, not because I am any good, but because I have decided it is a skill I really want to improve upon and the ultimate goal would be to start playing in a league.

This past weekend I hit from the ball machine and it is so much better for practice than hitting with my husband who is just as bad as I am. I am putting all my lessons to use with the ball machine because I am able to hit the ball with follow through each time.  Plus it is fun! It is also fun to get a glass of wine after all the work. :)

I wanted to wait a bit before I invested in some tennis attire but now that we go about 2-3 times a week it is probably time to start looking for tennis outfits considering I am the only one on the courts not dressed appropriately. Lucky for me Lululemon has some tennis outfits which are pretty close in price to say Nike or even Gap Fit and I will be able to wear them to the gym as well this summer. I don't want to go overboard, and I don't think you need to with sport or exercise clothes. Invest in a few key items and just re wear. Style isn't a concern with me as much as function and while Lululemon is an investment sometimes I typically purchase 1-2 items a season and it literally lasts a few years.

Friday Ramblings

Hi I am 5 months old! I am 5 months old and able to sit up by myself unassisted for a few minutes. This week was a doozy. Tom is teething and well has been very grumpy this week, I wasn't able to get as much done as I had hoped for but that's ok, he seems to be feeling somewhat better so yipee!

I am still working with my new lens and learning photoshop so having fun doing so, thankfully I have some great subjects. I still need a lot of practice but that's the fun part.

Go figure I got bored with my workout routine so decided to change it up for the month. I found this challenge on the Physique 57 site www.physique57.com and have decided to go for it considering I have the DVD's. So far its kicking my butt! If you have these DVD's they update a new challenge each month on their blog, it's pretty cool.

On another note I am really getting into playing tennis, I have taken a couple lessons and it's starting to come together! If I keep it up I may have to buy some tennis clothing! I have a good friend coming into town this weekend so I am excited to catch up. I hope you all have excellent weekends! Anything exciting going on?

Vacationing on a Budget....Vacation Homes

Can you do this in a hotel room?

or this?

I think not. When I was living in Chicago most of my friends were living in California or New York so when I was planning my bachelorette party  I could not for the life of me find a hotel that would be affordable for everyone. Plus thinking about running through the halls to get to other rooms seemed stupid. Then what I always forget to think about when you have a group is to rent a house! Duh, I had always done it in Lake Tahoe or Sonoma with friends, so why not a house in the big city of Chicago?!

eShatki Dress Review

So this past weekend was the annual Junior League of Fresno's fundraiser Brunch and I needed a dress to wear. Considering none of my old dresses fit I was lucky enough to receive one c/o eShatki. I instantly loved this bird print and bright color scheme. The dress is nice enough for a day time event, but could easily be worn to a summer wedding because of the polyester, woven crepe, light-weight material. I also loved how the dress had a retro almost vintage flare to it, with an A-line fit and pockets.
The picture above I took before the event and paired with a cardigan. The pictures below are from after the party (my iPhone was having issues taking pictures at the party for some reason). After the party I was pretty tired so I was ready for a drink.

I paired the dress with a Spike the Punch Addison Necklace you can find here: Spike the Punch and some older heels from Nine West. I am also wearing the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Crush that I received from my February PopSugar Must Have box. You can find this same dress here

Oh and I think the biggest highlight was that I entered the raffle to win wine and I won! 3 cases of wine from Napa and locally, seriously I was shocked but so excited. Wine for days!

Friday Ramblings

Guinness Chocolate Floats on http://theglitterguide.com/

THANK GOD its Friday! :) I hope everyone had a funtastic week. I for sure did. I hosted the monthly neighborhood girls party at my house Wednesday and well yesterday I was dying. First hangover with two kids, that was hard. I went to Claire's first swim lessons in my pajamas yesterday and let Nik put her swimsuit on and she came out and he pretty much had it on backwards ha ha. Oh well you live and you learn, thankfully hangovers are far and few between these days.

March Wittle Bee Review

See something familiar? That little purple flower print in the distance and the constellation? I changed my daughters size for WittleBee and well they sent me two exact items I received I believe it was last month. Not cool. I emailed support to ask what is up. I heard back from them today (sooner than I expected) and they so kindly gave me a $10 credit, and while they do not do returns there is a swap private facebook group to sell clothes you don't want and a new feature to pre choose your clothes for the month (which I didn't know about). Pretty awesome if you ask me. I am going to see if there are any takers on that shirt and pants!

I am still debating on switching up the box for Tom. I may try one more month for Claire then do Tom for a bit. I will let you know if I have success selling those items!

Amazing Weather and Lucky Fabb Event

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! It was gorgeous weather here so we took advantage and played Tennis. It was hilarious and sad at the same time because my husband and I are pathetic. Naturally they gave us the center court where everyone could see us. I just hope not one was paying attention. I decided to commit to some tennis lessons before it is blazing hot and attempt to play as much as I can because once we did get a rally going it was actually quite fun.

Spring Dress Fever

Ok so I don't actually have spring dress fever but I have been shopping for dresses lately because I actually have a few events coming up. I am a part of the Junior League here in town and have my first fundraiser event next saturday! Then I have another black tie party in April, along with my sisters wedding in June.
